Hi!  I’m Jan, owner of Black Mountain Builders, LLC, and I’d like to let you know a little about who we are and what we do.

          How we became a woman-owned construction company is a funny story, and I’ll tell you if you ask.  But first, I’d like to introduce my husband.  Ed was raised by a Southern Baptist Minister with five children, and construction has been full time since he was fourteen.  Ed completed his first house at 19, and during the years since he has done everything there is to do with a house, manufactured home, light commercial, and farm/ranch projects.  We’ve been together over 30 years, and I’ve been helping him since 1995.  (And learned a lot myself!)

          We are a blessed family of four.  Our boys are growing fast and learning faster. At the rate they’re going, they’ll be building their own houses soon.  We’ve also been constructing metal buildings for General Steel the last few years in addition to other jobs.  We can help with everything from demolition to design and construction.  The site will show you some of our work.  I’m not the best photographer, but you’ll get the picture.
